International Women’s Day.

Today is International Women’s Day. A day for championing women and their influence and inspiration in all of our lives.

Women represent 28% of all project professionals but are paid 20% less than men and only occupy 1% of Director roles or above. This is in spite of women adding significant value to organisations by being more likely to use collaborative strategies to deliver projects, and also more likely to invest in their teams through tools such as mentoring and coaching.

Whilst there has been a positive change of late, there is clearly still a long way to go to achieve true gender equality. Chana Projects is committed to changing these statistics not just today, but each and every day. Individually, we're all responsible for our own thoughts and actions. We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. We can all choose to seek out and celebrate women's achievements and diversity. Collectively, by changing what we can and challenging others to do so too we can all help to create a fairer and more inclusive world.

So today, tomorrow and in the future, let’s choose to challenge.
